Judi Dench Wears Gold Necklace By Surrey Designer

A jewellery maker from Surrey admits that he was thrilled when actress Judi Dench wore one of his gold pieces to the film premiere of Nine last month, according to reports.

Designer Roger Elliot tells This is Surrey that he thinks his yellow gold Oyster necklace really complimented the stars outfit.

He explains his decision behind choosing the precious metal, stating that he selected yellow gold for the piece - which is worth approximately £25,000 - because it is extremely fashionable at present.

"It used to be all about white gold, but if you look in Vogue, it's all about yellow gold at the moment," he says.

The gold necklace is still on loan to the Dame, while she decides whether she wants to keep it.
